How long have you been in the event business?

I started this business at the end of 2023 after discovering just how much I loved planning every detail of my own wedding! Experiencing firsthand all that goes into creating a big, beautiful event made me realize my passion for it. Since then, I've had the privilege of working with incredible clients, bringing countless weddings and events to life across Chicagoland, Wisconsin and Indiana to name a few.

Before launching this business, I honed my skills by organizing team events and corporate gatherings at my previous job, building a foundation that’s made every celebration I plan unforgettable!

Question 2

Who will be the planner or coordinator on our day?

Accepted Answer

At Peony Event Planning, we’re all about making sure your big day flows seamlessly! Our team of coordinators and assistants is here to handle every detail so you can just enjoy the celebration.

For Day of coordination clients, a lead coordinator will be assigned to you at the 3 month mark. 
For Partial Planning Couples, your lead coordinator will be assigned  to you at the 6 month mark.
Full Planning Couples, Your lead planner will be assigned to you at the 12 month mark.

Depending on the number of guests, setup/tear-down needs, or any extra heavy lifting,you will have both a lead coordinator and an assistant to keep everything running smoothly that day. For couples with extensive DIY set up, It is possible an additional assistant will be needed

What if we want Amber to be in attendance at our day?

As the owner and founder of our company, Amber is passionate about creating unforgettable wedding experiences and would love to personally be a part of every celebration. As our company has grown, so has our incredible team of planners and coordinators, allowing us to serve more couples while maintaining the exceptional level of care and attention that Amber is known for.

Each member of our team has been carefully selected, trained, and mentored by Amber to ensure every wedding reflects the same professionalism, organization, and dedication that our clients expect. You can feel confident knowing that no matter who is assigned to your wedding day, you will be supported by a talented and experienced professional who is committed to bringing your vision to life.

Would you prefer Amber to personally coordinate or plan your wedding?
We completely understand that some couples may wish to work directly with Amber on their wedding day. To reserve Amber exclusively for your event and guarantee her availability on your date, an additional Owner's Coordination Fee of $500.00  will be added to your package.

How do I know what wedding package to choose from?

I totally understand—there’s a lot to cover! Let’s set up a phone consultation so I can hear all about your vision, share how I can bring your dreams to life, and help figure out which package would be the best fit for you!

I love one package but it is missing some features I would want, Can we do a custom package?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, yes, yes, yes! 
We can  add à la carte services to make sure you feel totally at ease and ready to enjoy every moment of your big day!

Question 6

Why dont you include a Rehearsal on all packages?

Accepted Answer

That’s a great question! Rehearsals are becoming less common these days — many couples are choosing to skip them, or their venue may not offer time for one onsite. But don’t worry, it’s not as intimidating as it sounds! On the day of the wedding, we’ll walk through the ceremony before it begins so everyone feels comfortable. I’ll be right there with you and your wedding party, guiding you every step of the way, cueing when to walk, and cheering you on the whole time!

My Venue has a event coordinator, do I need to hire a coordinator?

Both the venue event coordinator and wedding planner are essential to making your wedding day a success, each with unique roles. 
The venue event coordinator focuses on everything related to the venue itself—like keeping the grounds perfect, managing food and beverage service, and handling all venue-specific details. Now, there are venues who do more then this so make sure you confirm with the venue what they will be responsible for!

Meanwhile, your  planner / coordinator takes care of the bigger picture: coordinating vendors, running the ceremony rehearsal, designing the wedding, and being your go-to for any and all wedding questions. Together, they’re the dream team to ensure everything flows beautifully!

So in short, YES!  It is always recommended to hire a wedding planner or day of coordinator for your day!

Question 8

We loved talking but need sometime to make our decision, what does that process look like?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely! Feel free to review the contracts and emails to make sure everything feels perfect for you. Since we’ve already chatted, I’ll happily hold your date for up to 14 days. If another couple inquires about that same date within this period, rest assured—you’ll always have first dibs to secure it!

If interest does pop up, I'll reach out to let you know and kindly ask for your decision within 48 Hours. That way, you have plenty of time to feel confident about moving forward!

Question 9

Do you travel outside of Illinois & Wisconsin?

Yes! We love to travel and experience new cities and countries! 
Up to 50 miles of Zion, IL  there Is no travel fee - Depending on location there may be a travel and lodging fee! Inquire for more information!!
